Bridget Richards is an entrepreneur who is fascinated with trendspotting and developing business concepts to meet pent up demand. She has assisted in taking more than thirty companies public on the OTC:BB and helped establish dozens of successful start-ups from 1997 to 2001 while working with a private investment firm headquartered in Las Vegas. She continues to help fledgling businesses get their bearing by assisting with entity formation and organizational structuring. Bridget has 14 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate and Development. Bridget became engaged in commercial real estate in 2002 when she joined Shea Commercial, a leading developer of office projects throughout the Southwest region of the United States.
During her tenure with Shea Commercial, Bridget placed over 750,000 square feet of professional and medical office properties while participating in the development of seven ground-up office projects, totaling more than 1,000,000 square feet. The volume of non-development transactions (all disciplines) she accumulated began to overtake her principal role at Shea Commercial, leading to the advent of New Growth Commercial in 2006.
In 2006, she and her business partner, Jason T. Lesley, established New Growth Commercial Real Estate Company, a boutique full service commercial real estate brokerage firm in Las Vegas. Richards built the company from the ground up by fortifying relationships with top clients and honing her knowledge of all disciplines of the commercial real estate industry. Despite the challenging market, the business closed more than $560 million in total transaction volume within the course of seven years. Also during this time, Richards received several awards, including the CoStar Power Broker Award in 2012 and recognition as one of the 100 Most Influential Women in 2013. In March of 2014, New Growth Real Estate Company announced that Southern Nevada’s largest brokerage firm, Colliers International, would be acquiring the company to establish its Investment Services Team, a division that focuses on high profile investor and user acquisitions and dispositions.
In her current role as Principal and Broker of record for Perry Guest Companies Nevada, Richards’ strategy predominantly focuses on matchmaking people and properties that are well-suited for each other. She researches where demand emanates and applies macro-economic trends to the local market. She brings her ideas to life by nurturing strong client relationships and advising investors based on her assessments. Throughout the process, she not only considers what businesses have been successful in Southern Nevada, but also what businesses are desirable for the market, ie. what and where demand is originating.
